MASS MoCA Concerts 2024

This is an incredible modern art museum! A friend took me to visit while we were staying nearby. I could spend hours here, we definitely did not leave enough time to enjoy everything! It was also fairly busy, but there was still parking available. I would highly recommend carving out several hours to a half day to enjoy everything. The current exhibits on magic and roller coasters are incredible! Some of the coolest modern art I've seen in a long time.

The exhibit features contemporary art, so I'm not sure if it's good or bad. However, just seeing the inside of the old brick mill is enjoyable. There are cafes and restaurants on the premises, and ample parking space is available.

1. If you have a library card you can go there for free. 2. There is room on the down floor which needs appointments and it's sooo cool ( can't explain more about it because you've got to see it yourself and also no taking photos is not allowed there) 3. Set aside a whole day for it because it's so huge and it doesn't seem so from outside. 4. It used to be an old factory and the exhibit is there and the building itself is so cool. 5. Be prepared for long walks. 6. I haven't uploaded many of the photos see it yourself.

my friends and i had a wonderful visit; the staff within the museum who were standing by the exhibits were very kind and knowledgeable. my favorite collection was by far Joseph Grigely; the way that he tells his story about becoming and living as a Deaf person is absolutely breathtaking. i must say though that the “prayer room” is a close second; it’s a beautifully modern take on spiritualism and acceptance of all. i do wish that things were a little bit more clearly set up for navigation throughout the museum; maybe some signs or something. it was hard trying to reorient ourselves in the beautiful 2nd floor exhibit, lol. it was also a touch disappointing that so much of the 2nd floor is currently not in use; i am happy to support the arts, but it was just a bit upsetting given the regular adult ticket is $25. overall a great experience and i am looking forward to returning soon!

Always an awesome time at MASS MoCA! Such an amazing place for adults and kids alike, brilliant art works and spaces to see and experience. We come back every two or three years and our younng kids revel in their time here. So much fun!
