Crooners Supper Club Reviews

It is hard to write a review of a jazz club. Live music is almost always fun, and I like jazz. The main woman was very good. In fact, all the live music I have heard here was good and fun. So this place is great on the music. The food is typical supper club middle America. That is not necessarily bad, as some of it, like the beef sliders, is very good. The rest is fine. The cocktails on their menu are all way, way too sweet. Order your own or do what I did, and have some bubbly. The cheesecake was fine, smooth and rich. The carrot cake was not to my taste, as it was dry, the frosting way too sweet, and the clove flavor was too strong. So, the food is uneven. The service was great, very attentive. So a 5 for music, a 3 for food. We always go with friends, and that makes any evening out fun! They have a large parking lot, which is nice.

We had great fun coming here for the first time. Diego Figueiredo, the Brazilian acoustic guitar master had a marvelous solo concert. He’s so talented! We ordered the French dip and the Grain& Greens salad. Both were good as was the service.

This is possibly my new favorite place and it’s so close to our house! My partner and I brought his parents to a show last night as a Christmas gift to them and we had the best time! The brandy old fashioned rivaled that from any Wisconsin supper club and the food was sensational! Even the house white was better than a house wine has any right to be. We started with the walleye cakes and were all floored by how delicious they were. Between the four of us, we all thoroughly enjoyed our entrees, so I feel confident recommending the smoked duck (I will have dreams about that Valencia sauce!), New York strip, risotto with salmon add-on, and beef stroganoff. We also shared the chocolate cake and seasonal crisp. The crisp was excellent and the cake was large enough that we had leftovers. We were in a legend booth and loved the experience. We were there to see a 50s/60s rock n roll duo, and unfortunately for them, one was ill and unable to perform. Instead, we saw a show by Zachary Stevenson, and he was such a delight! I’d love to see them both should they return, though we couldn’t have imagined having a better time. What an entertainer!

Went to see Joyann Parker Roots of Gospel show. She is soooo awesome. We will be going for her bigger 6 piece band show May 24th. This will be my 3rd time seeing her. She is just awesome!! Fun night out.

Great atmosphere, good food with more than adequate portions. I wish it was open more than 2 hours on a Wednesday for supper. As a gluten-free person my options were limited, hence 4 stars instead of 5.
