The Rust Belt Concerts 2024

Awesome venue. Amazing accousitics, considering it was built about a century ago for the auto industry. Definitely a must go to, to see some of your favorite bands.

First time coming here to see Upchurch! It is an awesome venue! You can show up as early as you want to get in line. We got there mid morning. We had food from Jennie's Boxcar which was delicious & not as expensive as others had stated. We also had a few coffees from Iron+Grain Coffeehouse which did not disappoint. The venue employees are nice and helpful. Plenty of drink options. Bathrooms are nice & clean. & absolutely no complaints about the sound quality, it was amazing. *This venue does get hot. They have fans on the ceiling to help. This is a venue where you are in CLOSE contact with everyone around, it gets hot, people get sweaty. If that's not your style, I would not attend. It's not a sit down venue like a stadium with seats and air flow. It's basically a free for all, party, feeling like a teenager again, venue.* *Do research on places before you attend! If your favorite artist is coming, but you can't stand on concrete for a few hours or you don't like tight quarters and warm air, this venue isn't for you.* You are also allowed to dance and won't get kicked out (based off someone's negative review). & the parking lot isn't awful either. It's paved and if you're there early enough, you get a good spot on the paved part. Otherwise overflow parking is rocky gravel which isn't an issue if you drive slow. A lot of the negative reviews are just silly.

We actually did not go inside the rust belt but drove by it and visited an eatery right next door. The whole compound it belongs to, I really like. The places are all connected, with food, the main venue, a bar, a brewery, a coffee shop, and more. It is a nice looking area and I am glad they are doing something to that location. We need more things like this to really revitalize the riverfront. Bravo. I plan to visit there soon for a show.

I like this venue. It just needs more places to sit. Some of my group has bone joint issues. Although they have a few benched and chairs waaaaaayyyy in the back. On a concert aimed at the 55+ age comes with different needs. Four of my friends has to decline going for this reason. So our group was downsized from 15. I do think standing room only on concrete by the stage is ok. But have some seats for the ones that need it. We used to be able to bring our own bag chairs.

Very nice venue. Sound was good. They put in a seating area in front of the stage for the Foghat concert and it was nice. There are also a few high top tables in the back. I wish they would add the front seating area for all concerts. There is a good brewery next door but we were disappointed that they only sold national brands of beer.
