Baltimore Museum of Art Reviews

This museum has several very intriguing displays. The floor plan for the exhibitions are well laid out. There is no charge to enter the museum but several locations to make donations. Street parking was abundant and very inexpensive. 50 cents an hour with a minimum of two hours to pay at the parking meter.

We had a fantastic evening. The stage was lit up beautifully (not real candles which is understandable and makes sense). The lead violinist was hilarious and the music selection was chefs kiss. Will definitely be returning. Highly recommend for singles, couples or friends who desire to enjoy an evening of real, raw and undeniable talent. Thank for an unforgettable night! *favorite song of the evening had to be Purple Rain -Prince.

This is a great museum with a good selection of art covering different eras and styles. It's free entry for the main galleries with special expositions chargeable usually. The main galleries were excellent with some lovely pieces- I loved the Rembrandt and also the Matisse section! There's also a restaurant and gift shop. I really liked the design and the way the rooms flow and have space so that you don't feel crowded even when it is a little busier! It's also on the Purple route bus too so it's very easy to get to from downtown.

If you enjoy art, spending an hour or two at the Baltimore Museum of Art is worth it. With free admission (except for special exhibits), the over-100-year-old museum is housed in a grand building designed by John Russell Pope of Jefferson Memorial fame. There's paid street parking nearby, but I opted for the museum's gated parking lot. If you stay under 30 minutes, it's free. (30-60 minutes is $12.) I walked into the museum and did a speed visit. First of all, the museum is much bigger than I expected with a sculpture garden, two different buildings, and several floors of old art to contemporary art. Restrooms are spread throughout the building and winding staircases make the building itself art too.

I loved this beautiful museum! It is super close to me and such a hidden gem! It has superb exhibits with art from early times to contemporary art! I spent 2 1/2 hours and wish I had went earlier! Highly recommend visiting! It’s also free admission unless you do an event!
