Independance Club Concerts 2024

I was here for the 2000's night - it was shockingly bad. 1. The club is greedy for money. I arrived 20 minutes before my free ticket closed, and I've never seen such a long queue in my life. They were letting people in really, really slowly. It is extremely likely the club has a policy of making sure the vast majority of people do not enter while the free ticket option was available. We paid the fee to enter the club straight away. We came in and saw the club had plenty of space, so people could have been let in way faster. People had to pay 20 euros despite being in the queue with their free ticket for an hour. Very shady tactic. 2. Only around a fifth of the music played at most was 2000s music. For example, we heard: Olivia Rodrigo, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift (2017), The Weeknd, and many more songs. 3. The music played was generally bad. Only a minority of songs were enjoyable, the mixing was really bad, and there were so many technical issues. The funniest thing was the DJ looked proud after putting on some bad music while people left the club.

Have been several times at this club (wanted to actually give it a chance)and here are some things you need to know before losing your time and money going there: 1. If they say "music of the 90s" or "music of the 00s" it doesn't mean they will actually put only the music of those years, also they'll put remixes (and not the good ones, because the dj apparently doesn't know how to do his job well); 2. Be prepared to listen to rock for at least one hour nonstop; 3. Don't expect to hear only the popular songs; 4. The sound isn't good at all, it's like listening to a radio loudly on a rainy day; 5. They will sell as much entrances as possible and wouldn't care that there's 10 people in 1m² and you'll have to try and dance like anchovies in a can; 6. They have tables that are always reserved, but no one ever shows up and others aren't allowed to sit there either. 7. The toilet is disgusting, there's no locks on the doors or even a knob. Don't recommend and definitely won't return to this place.

Extortionate prices, terrible service. Around €7-8 for a beer and €15 for a vodka. I ordered a beer, it was the worst poured beer that I've ever seen. I politely asked the female staff member if she could fix it, but she then became very angry, refused to serve me, and asked her colleagues not to serve me. Eventually, I managed to find a member of staff who was capable and willing to do their job. If I'm paying high prices for a beer, I don't expect 50% of the glass to be foam. There are much better places in the area...try one of them instead of this place. If you take a look other reviews, you'll see that the owner never accepts responsibility or apologises. He/She leaves silly little comments and always tries to have a go at the customer. I have made many reviews on this account, some good and some bad. I've no reason to lie or falsify my reviews. I fully expect the owner to reply in an unprofessional manner...let's see!

Terrible customer service. High prices! I've seen the replies that Independance club have given. They are petulant and argumentative and always accusing the reviewers instead of accepting responsibility. In someone's review, the club have stated that their beers are €5. In that case I'm due a refund because I was being charged €7. My friends were charged around €15 each for a vodka! It's clear that the person replying to reviews here is unprofessional and wants to blame the customers. Are all of us who give bad reviews telling lies and the owner is correct? That's just ridiculous. A professional owner would accept constructive criticism and try to improve instead of coming on here attempting to blame customers. It's quite sad really.

The place is big and the seats are well distributed, the guys at the door are very nice and help you with any question you may have. On the other hand, the music was way to loud and the drinks were really really strong (at some point i couldn’t even finish my drink) but cheap enough (10€ a cuba libre). If you wanna have a good time go there! The place also has some Covid-19 measurements such as social distancing between tables and walking/standing restrictions. The video is from a Nirvana’s tribute!
