Marks Park Concerts 2024

What a totally fun atmospheric Deacon Blue concert in the Marks Park sports ground! The huge crowd enjoyed singing along to songs that have real lyrics and melodies and dancing to well remembered piano riffs and guitar licks. Easy access to clean toilets and we didn’t have to wait for service at the long bar with efficient and plentiful servers. A selection of good food was available if you took a walk around the perimeter. Cleaners walking around to collect empty bottles and cans made it a pleasant out door experience. Plenty of parking but it takes awhile to get out as access gates are limited.

Attended the Africa archery competition. Well attended parks with ample tree shaded secure parking.

The perfect outdoor venue for a concert of up to approx 7k people without it feeling too full. Nice green lawns. Loads of secure parking. Top class sound! I have seen many many top local bands and great international bands there too, like Midnight Oil, The Waterboys, Seether and OMD.all events usually take place in the afternoon from around 1pm and are usually done by around 9pm. The lawns are always green and lovely to just sit and hang out with friends. The venue is very convenient to get to. It's in the suburbs close to Greenside and Emmarentia. Traffic usually dissipates really quickly after the event, in comparison to similar venues which can take hours to get out and get home. I'm really glad that I live so close to Marks Park. I can see myself going to many more shows there.

It was the venue for the Race to Gender Equality 21km, very tough race

Great Jeremy Loops concert at Marks Park. Parking, food and drinks, bathrooms, access and movement, was all efficient and well run. Great afternoon, always awesome location
