I may be a bit biased because I descend from the founders of the church. My first visit to the Church touched me. The direct connection to my family history was very powerful.

Impressive historical interior of the church with seating areas ("chairs") in the side galleries for the former guilds of craftsmen and merchants. Stained glass window on the community's history. It is highly recommended to take part in one of the early Sunday services (8.30 a.m.) in the Jakobikirche, which feature a sung Metten liturgy in a manner that corresponds to the regulations for the celebration of secondary services published by the Minden-Ravensberg Lutheran Conference in 1916.
