Arolsen Castle Concerts

Super palace in a really good maintenance condition. It is actually quite impressive from the outside, as you would not expect to find such a nice building hidden away and outside of the usual tourist paths. The surroundings are beautiful also!

We visited here on a rainy day in August. You can tour 4 rooms for no cost and then must join a tour to see some other rooms in the castle. The castle is beautiful and so different from the older castle ruins we have also visited. Although the tour is in German, they had written tour sheets in English so you could follow along during the tour. Worth the hour drive for us to get there.

One of the best parts of German history! This place makes me happy and I will come back every time when I visit Bad Arolsen!

Really nice place. Aristocrats who lived here visited very often Bad Pyrmont. Royals family. The Queen Emma etc.
