Wayne Escoffery, London-born tenor saxophonist known for his post-bop style, won a Grammy with the Mingus Big Band. Mentored by Jackie McLean, he played with Tom Harrell and collaborated with Randy Brecker and Gregory Porter. A Yale Jazz Lecturer, his albums include Vortex and Like Minds.
