John Butler, an Australian roots rock guitarist and frontman for the John Butler Trio, blends reggae, political folk, blues, and pop. Known for hits like "Zebra" and albums such as the platinum-selling Sunrise Over Sea, he gained prominence with multi-platinum releases through his label Jarrah Records. Born in California, he was gifted his grandfather's Dobro in Australia. Butler's collaborations include opening for Dave Matthews, and his band lineup has evolved over time, enriching their sound with elements of alt-rock and electronica.
