Shalamar, born from "Soul Train," became a US dance music sensation with hits like "The Second Time Around." The classic trio—Howard Hewett, Jody Watley, and Jeffrey Daniel—earned four Gold albums. Later, with line-up changes, they hit the US Top 20 with "Dancing in the Sheets." Reformed in 1999, they tour frequently.
