Kendl Winter, from Arkansas, moved to Olympia, WA, where the music scene shaped her career. She released records on K Records and formed The Lowest Pair with Palmer T. Lee, known for their folk style. Palmer, a Minneapolis musician, built his first banjo at 19. Described by Folk Radio UK as “music for sunshine and mint juleps,” they blend folk and punk influences.
