Born in Chelmsford, Essex, Nitzer Ebb, led by frontman Douglas McCarthy, is famed for pioneering EBM and alternative dance since the '80s. Best known for the iconic track "Join in the Chant" from 1987's *That Total Age*, they toured with Depeche Mode, influencing future industrial and techno artists.
