Southern California's John Cudlip, known as Launder, debuted with the Pink Cloud EP in 2018. Collaborating with Day Wave's Jackson Phillips and DIIV's Zachary Cole Smith, he later signed with Ghostly International. His first album features a full band and producer Sonny DiPerri, known for work with My Bloody Valentine and Trent Reznor.

LSD and the Search for God emerged in 2005 in San Francisco, enchanting with their hypnotic mix of psych and shoegaze. Their 2007 debut EP sold out pre-release and received critical acclaim, likened to My Bloody Valentine and Sonic Youth. The band is renowned for their evolving sound and collaborations, notably with Ricky Maymi of Brian Jonestown Massacre on “Heaven Is a Place” (2016).
