British synth pop duo Naked Eyes, formed in 1981, gained fame with hits like "Always Something There to Remind Me." Known for early '80s success and MTV presence, their album 'Burning Bridges' was big in the US. Collaborated as schoolmates, disbanded post-1984 album flop. Fisher died in 1999.

Best known for the '80s hit "Two of Hearts," Stacey Q, born Stacey Swain, combined a Madonna-esque style with dance-pop appeal. Animotion, a synth-pop band from Los Angeles, is best known for hits like "Obsession" and "Let Him Go." Formed in 1983, they blended electronic and rock sounds, hitting Billboard top 10 with their debut.
