Jackyl, from Kennesaw, Georgia, is renowned for their Southern hard rock and no-frills heavy metal. Fronted by chainsaw-wielding Jesse James Dupree, they gained fame with hits like "Down on Me" and "The Lumberjack." Their 1992 debut went platinum, and they've toured with Ted Nugent and Aerosmith. Collaborations with AC/DC's Brian Johnson are notable, along with albums like Cut the Crap. Despite mainstream fading, they maintain a devoted fanbase.
