Lifer, initially Strangers with Candy, won MTV's Ultimate Cover Band Contest in 2000. Signed with Republic/Universal, they worked with Rush's Alex Lifeson and had hits like "Boring." Their track "Breathless" was on "The Scorpion King" soundtrack. Members have joined Breaking Benjamin and Cold. The band reunited in 2018.
