Formed in LA's South Bay in 1979 by ex-Black Flag vocalist Keith Morris and Redd Kross guitarist Greg Hetson, Circle Jerks became punk icons. Known for ferocious performances and major hits, they starred in cult films and led the 80's punk scene. Celebrated 40th anniversary recently.

Negative Approach

Detroit's Negative Approach, pioneers of Midwestern hardcore in the early '80s, led by John Brannon. Known for the aggressive album "Tied Down" and influencing bands like Sonic Youth. Touch and Go released their seminal discography "Total Recall" in 1992.

Ceremony

Ceremony, a hardcore punk band known for fierce albums like *Violence Violence* and *Rohnert Park*, pushed punk’s limits with Matador and Relapse Records releases.
