Transitioning to a solo career, Manga has toured extensively in Europe and the U.S., achieving significant recognition.
Binomio de Oro de America, formed by Israel Romero and Rafael Orozco in 1976, is a leading vallenato group known for its romantic songs and dynamic live performances. Touring Venezuela, the Caribbean, and Panama, they gained international fame, debuting at NYC's Madison Square Garden in 1981. Despite challenges, including Romero's cancer battle and Orozco's tragic death, the group thrived with replacements like Jean Carlos Centeno and Alejandro Palacio. Their album "Grafiti de Amor" earned a Latin Grammy nomination, solidifying their legacy.
Wilfran Castillo, from Valledupar, Colombia, is a legendary vallenato composer with 600+ songs, including hits like "Una Hoja en Blanco" and "Arroyito." He’s won 7 BMI and 8 ASCAP awards.
