Avishai Cohen, an Israeli jazz bassist, composer, and singer, blends post-bop and contemporary jazz with Middle Eastern traditions. Discovered by Chick Corea, he joined Origin in NYC. Key albums: Adama, Aurora, and Two Roses. Founded RazDaz Recordz in 2002. Known for collaborating with Nitai Hershkovits and Mark Guiliana, he has redefined jazz concepts.
