About The Tannahill Weavers

The Tannahill Weavers, formed in 1968 in Paisley, Scotland, are known for their hard-driven Celtic sound using bagpipes, guitar, and fiddle. Core members Roy Gullane and Phil Smillie led the band to success in the UK, Europe, and the US, with key albums on Green Linnet Records. Renowned for their rock-infused energy and traditional Scottish tunes, they were inducted into the Scottish Traditional Music Hall of Fame and celebrated their 50th anniversary with the album Òrach in 2018.
