Led by Alberta native Nils Edenloff, The Rural Alberta Advantage is a Toronto indie folk-rock trio known for rhythmic intensity and expansive melodies. Famous for "Departing," nominated for a Polaris Prize, they achieved Billboard success with albums like "Mended with Gold" and "The Wild." Formed in 2005 with Paul Banwatt and Amy Cole, they gained traction after SXSW shows and collaborating with Saddle Creek Records. Their 2023 album "The Rise & the Fall" showcases their dynamic sound.
