Tamela Mann, born in Fort Worth, Texas, is a gospel singer known for her powerful soprano voice. She started with Kirk Franklin, then pursued a solo career and acted in Tyler Perry's projects, including Meet the Browns. Her 2012 album, Best Days, hit Billboard 200's top 14, featuring the Grammy-nominated "Take Me to the King." She collaborated with Franklin, Wyclef Jean, and Todd Dulaney on 2021's Overcomer. Mann won a Grammy for "God Provides" and starred in Tyler Perry's Assisted Living.
