Tokyo-born Takuya Nakamura moved to the US in 1990 to study jazz under George Russell. A NYC jazz and jungle scene staple, he worked with Quincy Jones, David Byrne, and Arto Lindsay, and played in Jojo Mayer's Nerve and Cocorosie. Known for blending jazz with electronic music, Takuya remains a pioneer in contemporary music.
