Susan Werner, born near Manchester, Iowa, is a multi-talented singer-songwriter known for her eclectic contemporary folk style. Her debut album, "Last of the Good Straight Girls" (1995), garnered attention with social commentary and introspective lyrics. Influenced by Nanci Griffith, Joni Mitchell, and jazz artists, she performed widely in the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Collaborated with Fernando Saunders and Mitchell Froom.
