Petter, from Södermalm, Stockholm, broke through as Sweden's first mainstream hip-hop artist with his Swedish lyrics. His 1998 debut "Mitt Sjätte Sinne" and 1999's "Bananrepubliken" made significant waves. He collaborated with Ayo and others in the Natural Bond collective and started his own label, Bananrepubliken, signing talents like Eye-N-I and Feven. Despite mixed reviews, his influence made Swedish hip-hop mainstream.
