Michael English, born in North Carolina, gained fame as lead singer of the Gaither Vocal Band. Known for modern Southern gospel, he earned four Dove Awards in 1994. His cover of "Your Love Amazes Me" hit the Billboard Adult Contemporary top ten in 1996. English collaborated with artists like Wynonna Judd and worked behind the scenes in gospel. He rejoined the Gaither Vocal Band in 2009 and authored "The Prodigal Comes Home."
