Jazz pianist Bill Charlap, born in NYC, is famed for his lyrical post-bop style. He's performed with icons like Benny Carter and Clark Terry and gained acclaim with his trio albums. Known for interpreting jazz standards, he studied at the High School of Performing Arts and joined Gerry Mulligan's Quartet early in his career.
