Raised in Michigan, he gained fame with hits like "Tired of Being Alone," "Let's Stay Together," and "I'm Still in Love with You." Collaborating with producer Willie Mitchell at Hi Records, he created iconic Memphis funk. After personal challenges, he became a minister while still releasing music, earning a duet with Annie Lennox in 1988 and a Grammy-winning career. Inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1995, Green continues to inspire with his timeless sound and live performances.
